During a closed meeting we wish to offer a safe space for Sámi architects to come together and share their thoughts and knowledge. With Oadjut as a starting point and the aim to create long term change in how contemporary Sámi architecture and art is included in urban landscapes being built on the traditional homeland of the Sámi people we would like to invite a continued conversation that we started in Giron during the fall 2025, about contemporary and traditional Sámi architecture and why it is important for sustainability, identity and representation.

Oadjut is a project about Sámi architecture, carried out together with Sámi architect Eveliina Sarapää. Using contemporary Sámi architecture, traditions and philosophy as tools, it investigates how public architecture can be created on Sámi terms in Giron.
